Stainless Steel 316 Tube

The 1.4401 Tube, also known as the 316 Stainless Steel Tube, is used for a variety of purposes. In terms of commercial relevance, this austenitic grade is second only to SS 304. The ASTM A213 TP316 material comprises a medium quantity of carbon, as well as 2-3% molybdenum. The SA 213 TP316 tubes are more resistant to corrosion, high temperatures, and acidic elements due to their chemical composition.

The Inox test is a simple approach to determine whether a particular tube is SS 316 Welded Tube or not. If a yellow stain is seen on the surface of the AISI 316 Tube after the test, a chemical reagent is applied. If this causes the stain to change colour from yellow to pink, the tube is 316 Stainless Steel Square Tube. Because of the presence of molybdenum in the alloy, this occurs.

As stockist we provide UNS S31600 Welded Tubes and ASME SA213 TP316 cold redrawn Tubing in size range from 0.125 to 4 inch at a reasonable cost

The mill finish 316 Stainless Steel Round Tube has a very dull grey finish that is not commercially appealing. The A side of the 316 Stainless Steel Square Tubing material has a constant dull finish. It has extremely few (if any) cosmetic flaws. The corrosion resistance of SS 316 Electropolished Tubing solutions is higher than that of a poorly polished surface. These tubes are typically employed in nuclear and offshore sectors in a variety of harsh situations. Polished 316 Stainless Steel Square Tubing should be regularly maintained and cleaned for best performance.

The Smooth Bore 316 Seamless Tubing is made of seamless material. It means there is no weld bead, allowing for unfettered flow. It is more durable than welded SS316 tube.

Packaging of SS 316 Tube

Different packaging techniques are employed based on the type and size of steel tubes to guarantee secure transportation. While we offer packaging guidelines for common pipe types, we stress the importance of extra precautions during sealift handling and transportation to protect against damages resulting from movement and bending.
